Spinach & Beetroot Printed Bread Loaf
The kid in me loves to play with colours. No artificial colours used! This is spinach and beetroot printed breads.
Once I successfully baked breads with fresh vegetable purees, I wanted to go to the next level, and the thought of this printed bread metamorphosed. A simple twist, gave the best looking and colourful loaf I ever made!
It was just my crude idea, but never ever expected the result to be this beautiful and colourful.
We all shouted out “WOW” when we sliced these loaves, each slice was a splash of colours. The loaf will look plain from outside, but when you slice through, its pure magic of dancing colours.
Happy family, perfect to start a party, which can get you a standing ovation from the guests!
Which child will not love this gorgeous bread, enriched with the goodness of fresh vegies? Perfect bread for their school tiffin box sandwich.
Ingredients
- 200 Grams flour dough of beetroot bread loaf recipe
- 200 Grams flour dough of Spinach bread loaf recipe
- 500 grams flour dough of white loaf bread recipe
Instructions
Three sets of dough were made in the ration of 2.5 : 1 : 1 ration; White bread Loaf recipe, one following the beetroot loaf recipe and one with Spinach loaf recipe respectively.
I made 200 Grams flour dough each of beetroot bread loaf recipe and Spinach bread loaf recipe and 500 grams flour dough of white loaf bread recipe.

Make small equal number dough balls (say 10 each) of Beetroot and Spinach dough, and double the number of white dough balls (20).
Beetroot and Spinach dough is rolled into thin tube shapes, and is covered (Rolled) with the white loaf dough, which is pat down to a matching rectangular shape. These rolled dough tubes are alternately placed in the loaf tin and pressed tightly to avoid gaps. If you have a Pullman tin, it is good, I have baked in both open tin and Pullman tin, with good results.
Let me tell you again, it may not come perfect at the first try, I got it this good only after a few trials.
